Happy Mother's Day!! As far as I'm concerned, you don't have to be a mother to celebrate it. If you're a woman who looks after anyone or anything, you deserve a break today. Whether it's a baby, a fur baby or a whiny man who is probably pretty helpless without your help, put your feet up and enjoy today!

I had a wonderful day today. We started the day off by heading to a park out of town, just for a change. The same old parks around here get very boring after a while! We all had a blast!

After nap, Nana and Papa brought over some sand for Maisie's sand and water table, so we put it together for her.

Finally, the table is put together, and it's time to PLAY!

She had so much fun dumping sand into the water and mushing it around like mud. She was having so much fun, in fact, that when I asked her if she wanted me to play with her, she said no!

So I brought out my book to read!

Mike made a delicious dinner, and then presented me with a yummy cake!

Then we tried to get our Mother's Day picture, but Maisie won't sit and pose (even for a second!!), so this was the best we could do!

Mike and Maisie both made today so special for me...I felt that little bit of extra lovin', and it was delicious. When I was sitting outside when Maisie was playing, I thought "Now THIS is happy".
