In honour of the first day of spring, we celebrated by flying a sweet little butterfly kite that Nana and Papa bought for Maisie!
We ran it up and down the sidewalk at the front of the house, and it actually flew pretty well if you ran with it!
We had a fun time, although she had a lot of moments (ie: when anyone else would "borrow" the kite to untangle it) where she looked like this:
But mostly, it was a good time!
Also, on her outing with Daddy this morning, they went to the car wash!
Daddy is very scared of the brushes in car washes, but he's trying to not pass on his fear to Maisie!
Clearly, it's working...there's no fear in her eyes at all!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend, or a great week off as the case may be!

Is it wrong that I think the "gruntled" picture is the best of the bunch? Someday, that face is going to terrify her opponents on the hockey field (rink?) or softball field. When I was little, my dad told me that going through those car washes is what it would be like to be digested by cookie monster. I've never looked at them quite the same way...
ReplyDeleteLOL!! It definitely is the best pic of the bunch!! If you pretend she's screaming at someone instead of crying, she will definitely be a force to be reckoned with before she kicks someone's ass, somewhere, in some type of sport!! That is hilarious about the cookie monster...I can totally see it!!
ReplyDeleteThe brushes honestly still freak me out. I used to have nightmares about being trapped in a carwash that was turned off NOT in a car. OMG, the horror of it all ... gives me chills ... the thought of any moments the brushes starting to spin!! :)
